Exhibition of Jean-Paul Guilpain
Further its fruitful collaboration with Jean-Paul Guilpain during the exhibition of December, 2009: Notre- Dame De Nos Jours, the Gallery Saint-Cyr renews this experience with an exhibition this time completely dedicated to this atypical artist.
Jean-Paul Guilpain begins the drawing and the sculpture from his youngest age. Having dedicated itself to his family during twenty five years, he returns to his initial passion: the painting.
However, the art of Jean-Paul Guilpain is outside the traditional artistic conventions, because it abandons the technique of the brush, rarely used, for the collage and the drawing. He asserts then a personal and avant- gardist style arisen from a harmonization of the constructed and deconstructed forms.
His work of construction, reproduction and graphic opens him infinite perspectives. So, the structured and disintegrated elements live with the lively colors and seem to liven up of a certain theatricality staged by the hand of the artist.
