The art of Geneviève Schwartz is unmistakably centred on the material, the light and the movement.
She plays with textures and materials, like the old phone books, ground, disrupted, torn away, torn up, then recomposed with grace and poetry.
As a perpetual continuity, the artist conjugates the directory in every time, which she scatters according to a more or less remarkable density in each of her works.
Her series of " Variations and feelings " redefines the space: New York and Paris seem to be livened up by a vertiginous depth and a dimension! Colors, geometry, fragments of urban symbols (Eiffel Tower, Brooklyn Bridge), agree in a horizontal and vertical, sinuous and bony, dark and bright personal writing.
Through this exhibition, Geneviève Schwartz presents a rhythmic and energetic reading of the urban jungle and the coastal landscape, under the dome of the mysterious language of the words and the figures.
